  • Sign Material
These signs are cut from ½” thick solid surface material. Solid surface is a blend of acrylic polymer and crushed marble dust / minerals. It is heavy like stone and is most often used for countertops and showers. It also makes for an ideal exterior sign material and will not rust, mold, and is perfectly water resistant as well as thermally stable.

The sign you have received has already been polished with Hope's Perfect Countertop Polish. That being the case, the material may fingerprint easily and may appear a bit inconsistent in color. Wiping the sign with a paper towel will often alleviate this problem. If not, adding a bit more polish to the sign will. Please try and avoid getting any polish in the engraving when cleaning.

Installation of Solid Surface Address Signs
The recommended mounting hardware for these signs are #7 or #8 composite deck screws. These screws are polymer coated and will not rust and cause rust drip stains on the face of the sign.

If mechanical fasteners are not an option, these signs can be installed using an exterior rated adhesive. Please be sure and remove all of the polish from the back of the sign before attempting to do so. Also, it may take some time for the adhesive to set-up and support the full weight of the sign, so the sign may need supported while the adhesive is curing.

Please try and avoid using a power tool to drive the screws into the substrate as pinpoint areas that are subject to high pressure can cause the material to crack. We recommend using anchors for installation into mortar and stucco surfaces.

    Maintenance of Signs
Apply another coat of Hope's Countertop Polish as required.
